Manchester - Day 4 Part 2 (Pleasure Beach, Blackpool~)

Okay, now is the real post about Pleasure Beach, Blackpool.. Hehehe~ Pleasure Beach has definitely got to be in your must-go-places in England, especially to those people who are like me, a ‘roller coaster addict’! LOL!! It is a family theme park, with family rides and kids’ rides but they are most known of their roller coasters. They had about 10 roller coaster rides in there including some of the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coasters in the world! I was definitely in love with that place. We rode 5 roller coaster rides when we were in Disneyland Paris but here, we took 8 roller coaster rides! To tell you the truth, I was scared to death! I kept asking myself, ‘Why did I do this?’ and blaming my feet for taking me onto those rides.. Hahaha.. I did chickened out at some points but to think that it was probably an opportunity of a lifetime, I went for it! Yay Me!!

Our first stop was a family ride. We thought of warming up with some slow and fun rides before going for the roller coasters. So, we went on the Alice in Wonderland ride~ It was kinda similar to the Peter Pan’s Flight in Disneyland except that Disneyland’s was better..Duh~ Hahaha… It’s a ride that took us to the world of Alice in Wonderland~

Alice in Wonderland~ Gedik mode!~ Hahaha...

The next ride thing that we rode was the Derby Racer, another family ride. It was like riding on horses except that they were fake horses and they only moved in a circle. I loved the ride actually coz it moved fast and I felt like I was flying while riding it.

Our first roller coaster ride here in Pleasure Beach! We went on the Grand National Roller Coaster! What’s special about this ride was that there were two tracks made of woods, side by side, meaning that we were actually having a roller coaster race with the people on the track beside us!

Next was Wild Mouse, another roller coaster ride. It didn’t seem scary at first but once you’re on it, you’ll be screaming to your lungs because you actually ride on it while lying down on your backs!

We moved on to the ‘Infusion’! It was great! It’s roller coaster where you won’t be seating in a box but you will be riding the ride hanging from on top. You’ll be seating on a chair that’s attached to the track on top, which means that you won’t have any place to rest your feet coz they’ll be hanging! It’s better to be on this ride with your shoes off, if not, they’ll be flying elsewhere. LOL!! What’s great about this ride is that it is above water. Some will feel that their feet touch the pool or the fountain!

Next stop was the Steeplechase. It was a roller coaster but just a minor one. Not scary at all. You’ll feel like you’re in horseracing because you’ll be sitting on a ‘horse’ while riding it. There were 3 tracks altogether. Gotta be careful though, coz you might hurt your ass because of the jumps! Hee~^^

We moved to the next ride which was ‘The Rollercoaster’. It was one of the most gentle roller coaster rides except for the sudden drops. It resembled the original roller coaster back in its early years. The tracks were made of wood.

After 5 roller coaster rides in a row, we decided to go on the family rides to ease ourselves. Just imagine, 5 roller coaster rides in a row! Whoaa!~ Hahaha.. We went on the Carousel then. Nothing much to say about it coz it was just a carousel, riding on horses that went round and round.. yada yada yada~ Only one advice though, especially to the guys. I suggest you ride the horse on the front seat coz if you sit at the back seat, you’ll definitely hurt your crotch! (sorry ‘bout the language..but it’s true!)

The Carousel~

We were ready to ride on another roller caster rides after that, so we moved to the ‘IRN Bru Revolution’. This ride was awesome. I was afraid at the beginning and kept blaming my feet for taking me to this ride but before I knew it, I was already sitting on it! LOL!! This ride went 360° forward and then it’ll move for another 360° backwards.

The next ride was the biggest attraction in Pleasure Beach, Blackpool. It was ‘The Big One’, the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe! I couldn’t believe that I had experienced this! We were sitting at the very front seats! I was so nervous that before it started moving, I just couldn’t stop talking. Hehe~ I kept asking Syaz silly questions! After it started moving, I found out that it was not scary after all! Despite the steep drop, I could still open my eyes throughout the ride and smiled, enjoying the ride! Because it was too much fun and it was not scary at all, we actually took our second ride on ‘The Big One’ right after! LOL!! We rode it twice y’all!

The Big One~

Couldn't believe we went down that steep!

The proof showing that we were really sitting at the very front of the coaster.
There was nobody in front of us!

We proceed to the ‘Avalanche’ after that. It was a bob sled kinda roller coaster. Again, we had to ride this while lying on our backs.

Next was the ‘Gold Mine’, a family ride. It’s more of like the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ ride except for that this time, we were entering a cave to see a gold mine and looking at the gold miners’ lives inside the cave.

Gold Mine.. Mode gedik lagi~

Reflection~ Our favourite...

We then moved to the ‘Ghost Train’. As expected, it was like going into a haunted house but it turned out that it was not scary at all. We even laughed seeing some of the ghosts. Seriously, nothing can beat Asians’ ghost! Hahaha~

The last ride of the day was the ‘Bumper Car’! Nothing more to explain. It’s a bumper car and yeah, we went around bumping into other people’s car. Hee~

Bumper Car~

We looked at the time after that and noticed that it was already 4.30pm. We really need to go home to be in time for buka puasa. Just imagine we rode on all of those rides while fasting and all of us actually already had flu and sore throat at that time! LOL!!

So, we headed to the train station and promised ourselves to come back soon to ride on the rides that we were not able to experience. Pleasure Beach, Blackpool rocks!!!

Our wristbands~

Which hand belongs to which foot? Make a guess! Hahaha...

Goodbye Pleasure Beach!~

We buka puasa that day with rice, sup tulang, kangkung goreng cili, sambal cuka Kelantan, salted eggs and seri muka as dessert. Again, Kak Ina with her good cooking! Yummy~ We packed our bags after that coz we were going back to Plymouth the next day! We we so tired that all of us slept after that.

Seri Muka~
