Raya in Manchester Part 2 - The Open House~

It’s the Open House today!!! We were so excited!!! We woke early that morning to help Kak Ina with the preparations. We’re serving Lontong, Nasi Impit, Lemang, Beef Rendang, Chicken Rendang, Kuah Kacang, Nasi Tomato, Dalca, Ayam Masak Merah, Sarawak Layered Cake and of course the various types of kuih raya.. Kuih Makmur, Kuih Kacang, Pineapple Tarts… etc2.. Kak Ina’s amazing!!!! I want to be a good cook like her~

Gossipping in the kitchen.. LOL!!!

I felt like I was in Malaysia during that open house. Kak Ina and Abg Nik’s Malay friends were all present that day besides some English and Pakistani families. We really felt the Hari Raya spirit. The money that we spent for the train tickets was definitely worth it! We felt like we were one big happy family although we just knew each other. They were very warm in welcoming new Malaysians. We chatted all day as if we’ve known each other for years! Most of them are married and they brought their kids along! Those kids were so amazing and we clicked right away~

Watching cartoons while waiting for thw guests to arrive...

....And the kids took over when they arrived.. LOL!!

Love these 3 guys.. Hazim, John-Louie and Farhan..

Kids nowadays.. They're using i-Phone for goodness sake!!! Haisy~

..and that bridged the gap between kids and adults.. LOL!!

"My bluetooth can't detect your phone!!~"

We even met this Kak Ina (another Kak Ina, let’s call her Kak Ina Jr. hehe..), so we met Kak Ina Jr. who’s also a fan of Kpop and Jpop! We were so excited meeting each other that we created the most noise while talking! LOL!! We exchanged emails and usernames in our favourite sites and promised to keep in touch. In conclusion, that day was amazing! Even though we’re far away from home, we did feel the spirit of Hari Raya!~

With Kak Ina Jr.~ Love her!

With Arissa~
