We called Kak Ina on the eve of Hari Raya and we all got teary-eyed…God knows why. We all got kinda emotional on our first Hari Raya in UK without our family members. After a while, this crazy thought came into our mind and before we knew it, we had already booked our train tickets to Manchester on Friday, the 3rd of October. The tickets were expensive cuz we booked them last minute but no one cared cuz all of us were really eager to go to Kak Ina’s place for her open house on the 4th.
So, right after our open house on Thursday, we straight away cleaned the house (arrgghhh… the dishes!). We did the dishes, vacuumed the place, hand the pots and pans over to the next house that’s having open house and tried to finish the leftover food. Luckily Mira and Tiku came that night and had dinner with us. After that, we moved to our own room and started packing! It was a tiring day!!! And to make it worst, we had to leave our house at 6am the next morning!
The taxi was already waiting for us at the Porter’s Lodge the next morning and we depart to the train station. I was so tired that day and I was sleeping almost throughout the journey. The only times that I was awake were when we had to change train and when we were on our last train that headed to Chorley. Abg Nik picked us up at the train station and we were welcomed by cutie Zara at the door when we arrived at their home. We were so tired that Syaz and Nadhia continued sleeping at while Fiza and I played with the kids.
That night when Syaz and I were helping with the preparations for the open house the next day, Kak Ina gave us something to munch on and it was DURIAN!!!! Waaaaaaaa.. we were so excited to be able to eat them that we spent so much time taking pictures of them before we actually ate it.. LOL!!! Thanks Kak Ina!~
