Today's Malaysia's Independence Day!!! It's been 51 years and Malaysia is still growing. Although I'm here in a foreign land, I'll always feel proud to be a Malaysian. I hope that Malaysia will have many, many more happy years to come..and to celebrate this Independence Day, here's our picture wearing traditional clothes with our beloved 'Jalur Gemilang'! Even though we're not in Malaysia right now.. Malaysia will always be in our hearts.. Happy Birthday, Malaysia!

I woke up to another boring day of this 3-week-holidays. I ended up watching Mamma Mia and found that I'm totally in love with one of the songs called 'The Winner Takes It All' Here's the song. Listen to the song and you'll find yourself totally immersed in the lyrics.

After the movie ended, I found myself being plunged into another state of cluelessness...again! I decided to watch another movie (just imagine how bored I was...). So, I watched 'Made Of Honour'. Luckily Patrick Dempsey was in it. It gives me more reasons to watch the movie. I love it actually. It was really worth the watch.

I'm back! This time is for real..haha.. we actually got more carried away and went on to watch SHINee - 'In My Room' live performance and after that we watched Onew (SHINee) - 'Forever More' ..huhu... Onew is great! He doesn't be the leader of SHINee for nothing. He sounds good singing ballad numbers and for this song, I think he's one of the very, very few Korean artists that I can actually understand what they're saying when singing in English! Haha.. Thinking that he's only 19.. Aigoo~ Noona has gone pedo again.. Here's the video, I really hope you'll enjoy it.

Okay, I've gone too far from the real thing here. Better get back on track..lmao. So, after watching 'Made of Honour', I felt bored again and was searching for another movie to watch when suddenly Q, a really, really good friend of mine back in Malaysia, called. Thank you so much Q!!! I've finally found something interesting to do. We talked about her getting engaged at the end of the year (so jealous of her..). Then we went on talking about our school years and what our friends are doing right now. Shirin is married!!! WOW! Can't believe that! Then, as expected.. the topic shifted to Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK)!!!! When the true fans of DBSK start to talk about them.. they just can't stop! LOL!! We continued talking about them and by the time we hung up, I found that we were talking for 3 hours 11 minutes & 56 seconds!! WOW! Thanks to the power of YM, the talk was free! Hahaha...

It's 10.48pm now. I think I'm gonna make some food for myself and maybe continue watching another movie. All thanks to MySoju because the website has not been working for 2 days now!! Arrrgghhh!!! I can't watch my Korean dramas now. Sigh~

Right after our Language Awareness test last Wednesday, we managed to take our cohort picture for 'Salam Perantauan'...Finally..LOL! We were so excited wearing our 'baju raya' (old ones actually..huhu) for the photoshoot. Just imagine all 25 of us wearing all kinds of traditional clothes while sitting for the test! LOL~! We were the centre of attraction for the day! Hahaha... Big thanks to Sarah Fuqua, our Welfare Co-ordinator, for being our photographer. She's great! Also...you guys can find Lesley (our Language Awareness lecturer) in some of the photos. We dragged her in even though she insisted that she wanted to have her lunch at that time.. Sorry Lesley! Good Night! Owh, It's Already Morning~

It's 8.18am now and believe it or not I haven't slept since last night! huhu... I've been watching some Korean shows and joining Syaz chatting with a new Korean friend, Kim Hyeonjun. He's 18 by the way.. Noona yah~ (OMG! this pedo disease is growing inside me! LOL!!). He's kind enough to send all of the songs from Big Bang's new mini album plus a song from Seo In young, Cinderella.

I've just finished watching Loveletter (a Korean variety show) and I really think that I should get some sleep right now. Jong mal!~ lol...

Before that , I wanna share a song by SHINee, 'In My Room'. This song is going to be the OST for Meteor Garden Korea!! Yay. finally...a Korean version of Meteor Garden! Gosh~ I can already imagine Minho playing the role of Hanazawa Rui (Hua Ze Lei)...faint~ haha.. (pedo alert again!!)

SHINee Craze!!~

I woke up this morning not knowing what to do. Today is the first day of our 3-week holidays and I was clueless. I don't even have a single idea on how to spend my holidays. Haih~ So, I did what I usually do everyday. Check on the latest news on Kpop... and I realise that SHINee's Reality Show episode 3 - 5 have been subbed. Thanks to shineesubs team! They're amazing.. Love you guys! Saranghaeyo~

I was totally enjoying the show and since I still didn't know what to do after that, I went on searching for more SHINee's videos and watched them. Those guys are sooooo damn cute! And talented too... I'm totally in love with them (talking about 5 guys whose average age is 16.4 years old...lol..pedo alert!!). Minho has got to be my favourite. He's quiet but he has the aura of making people keep their eyes on him. He's a good actor too and he was a runway model before he debuted as a SHINee member! Hmmm... I just realised something. Those are the exact same qualities that Eric (Shinhwa) & Kibum (Super Junior) have! And they are my favourites in their respective groups. Yay!!! I finally know the characteristics of my ideal guy! *rotfl*

A Three-Week-Holidays??? Boring~

The test is finally over y'alllll!!!!!!! Phew~

I think I did pretty well....until I came to the last part of the paper which was killing me throughout the last 20 minutes of the test!!! Aaaarrggghhh!~ But the test is over now. Hopefully, I did well (Amin...)..

So, now that the test is over.....we're having another semester break for 3 weeks!!! I'm not sure whether I should celebrate it or not..Sigh~ I just can't imagine sitting at home for 3 weeks doing nothing! The allowance is not in yet, so we have to spend our money wisely for the time being (thinking of how we spent for our holidays in Paris & Barcelona last month..lol) Looking at the weather right now, I don't think we can go out for a picnic or something. It's been windy and raining these past few days. Haih~ Well, I guess we'll spend our 3 weeks holidays at home again, stuck in front of our laptops' monitor. It's just sad to think that we'll spend our first Ramadhan in a foreign land like this.. Aigoo~

Neway, just heard SHINee's new song, SHINee World. Finally it's out in full version. Not really a fan of it though. I still prefer Noona, You're So Pretty. Check it out on Youtube or something and listen for yourself!

Filipino? Tagalog?~

Okay, I know I'm suppose to study..but I only managed to flip through the notes for a few minutes and before I knew it, I was already on Veoh, watching Sweet Relationship (don't know whether I should sigh or laugh at this..LOL..okay, I just laughed..haha!!).


So, I was watching Sweet Relationship and I realised that there's something wrong with Megan Lai's nose. I was thinking that she did a nose-job or something cz the nose seemed to look different from what I saw in Meteor Garden. So, I went to Youtube and try to search for some of the clips from Meteor Garden that has Megan Lai in it....simply because I wanna compare her nose shape then and now (how nosy of me! haha). Don't ask me why did I do this. I don't even know the reason for it myself..LOL!!


While I was browsing through the search results, I came across a video that shows the casts of Meteor Garden Taiwan, Japan and the Phillipinnes.. Wait.........rewind..... Phillipinnes???!!! What? Meteor Garden, Filipino Version.. Can you believe that!!! My goodness! I got so hyped up and watched the video. This is for real guys... I immediately called Syaz to join me cz both of us are fans of the show. We were screaming all the way looking at those Filipino actors in disbelief!


Now, that was only half of the crazy part. The other half was when we found Meteor Garden Taiwan series in Tagalog!! And what do you expect from us?? More screams of course!!! Poor those people downstairs..haha.. Sorry Fiza & Nadhia. We ended up watching two parts of it, not knowing what on Earth they were talking about. Then this insane thought came into Syaz's mind. Since we are big fans of that show (and we have watched it tonnes of times already), we can actually remember what they were talking about (not surprising..haha). So, while they were 'talking' in Tagalog, we were actually chanting the dialogues in Malay!! *rotfl* We even shouted out what scene was going to be next after another. OMG!! That was so much fun!


Then, we found a clip of Meteor Garden OST..but in was in Tagalog again!! Hahaha... The great thing about it was that they provided the lyrics. So, it was a 'sing-along time' for us..lol.. We didn't know what are the meaning to those words that we were singing but WHO CARES??!! Haha... WE HAD FUN!!! Now, this is what will happen when you're surrounded by a lot of grammar theories since morning.. (faint~lol)


Okay, gotta calm myself..LOL! Gotta study! Hopefully it's for real this time..

Just got back from Language Awareness class....been doing lots of exercises, questionings and clarifying with Lesley (the lecturer). Tomorrow's the test!!! Gotta memorise tonnes of grammar theories. I feel quite okay right now cz I understand most of them... Have to work on my description and elaboration though. So peeps! Gotta go study! Please pray that I'll do great tomorrow, aite?!

But before that, I'm hungry!! I have to consume something in order for my brain to function later when studying.. LOL!!

Haru Haru~ Day By Day

Hey peeps~

Confused about the title? NO, I'm NOT feeling terharu or haru-biru this morning..LOL.. 'Haru Haru' is actually a song by Big Bang, which means 'day by day'. I've been addicted to this song since it was released but I've never made a post of it. I personally think that this is the best song Big Bang has ever produced. Just imagine, this is the only song in my playlist right now and it has been playing non-stop!!! LOL....

I blame Nisrin for this addiction!! Haha... She's responsible for introducing Big Bang to me early last year. I didn't actually like them that time. But, thanks to the power of YM, Nisrin has been spamming me with Big Bang's songs and MVs.....and finally, I ended up liking them (my favourites have got to be TOP and Taeyang..talking about smexy-ness here..LOL!!)

Can't Believe I Woke Up This Late!!!

OMG!!! I woke up really, really late today. How late? Let's just say that by the time I woke up, it was already time for lunch.. Think about it yourself..hmmm..lol... The reason for waking up so late was because I slept at 6.20am this morning..hahahahahaha!!! I spent the whole night watching Sweet Relationship (a Taiwanese drama, Vic (F4) is he lead actor), Gangstarz final (they didn't finish uploading the parts, so I have to watch it half-way, which made me boiling mad!) and chatting with my aunt, 'Mak Su'.. I was telling Mak Su that I just started blogging and I asked her to check out this blog and all of a sudden she told me that she wanted to start her own blog too..lol.. So, I stayed up, answering her questions about blogging and I read her first ever blog post. If you wanna check her blog out, I've got her link in 'My Blog List'.

I just checked out SHINee's new MV. Love the MV, love the song, LOVE THEM!! OMG! I can't believe I'm adoring boys who are younger than me!! They've just unleashed the 'pedo' in me!! No offence, they're really talented..lol.. Anyway, I really love the song. It reminded me of Michael Jackson's song. They've got the same feel. That just gave me one more reason to like this song coz I love Michael Jackson. Don't think that I'm some kinda weirdo who loves that crazy pedophile. Put aside all of his court cases and all those unnecessary plastic surgeries and enjoy his music. I love them. His MVs are always very, very brilliant (of course he spent a lot of dollars on them.. $$$.. lol) and his dance moves are superb!

Picnic at The Hoe~

I was browsing through Syaz's blog and I read her post about our picnic a few weeks ago. I realise that I haven't made a post of it...so this post will be about the picnic.

It was a Saturday, 28th July 2008 and it was Zu Lee's birthday. After throwing her a surprise birthday party at 12 am sharp the night before (we raided her house and woke her up..poor sis..lol), we decided to go out and have fun. Me, Syaz, Fiza, Nadhia, Zu Lee & Reace went to the cinema in the morning to watch 'Batman: The Dark Knight'. Now, THAT movie was GORY!!! I can't even watched the Joker's face (sorry..Heath Ledger...R.I.P).

After that we went shopping at T.K. Maxx. Reace got himself a really nice pair of shoes (at least everyone agreed on that except for Zu Lee..haha). Then we went to Poundland and bought some food and drinks for the picnic just to add to the food that we already brought. On the way to The Hoe, we met 'Kittycat Chris' (still don't know why people call him by that name..lol) and he ended up joining us for the picnic.

It was a nice weather and we had a nice time eating under a tree. Reace and Chris were crazy enough to dance and do some acrobatic stuffs in the middle of the park (they even ended up swimming at the Tinside Pool nearby!!!). My goodness, these two insane people were just unstoppable..haha..

Anyway, we really had fun that day. Thanks to Reace & Chris for being our 'jesters' for the day..haha.. We went home later that evening at 4.30pm.

Mnet 20's Choice Awards 2008 Special Stages

Hey peeps~

I just spent my morning watching special stage performances from Korea's Mnet 20s Choise Awards which was held yesterday.. I really wanna go!!!! The first that I watched was a special performance by Junjin (Shinhwa) & Wondergirls. They performed 'Sexy Back' by Justin Timberlake & 'So Hot'. It was an okay performance for me though despite seeing Junjin working on his sexy back..lol! Here's the link.

The next performance was from Kim Gun Mo & SNSD. I like this performance. It gives you those 'falling-in-love' kinda feeling. First, Kim Gun Mo sang a medley while playing the piano (I went crazy when he started singing 'Danghaengida' lol...) He even sang 'Kissing You' by SNSD. Then in the middle of singing he introduced the nominees for 'Hot Sweet Music' and then he said that the winner will come and perform with him..and guess who came out?!!! SNSD for sure..like duh~ So, they performed together and it was good (although I'm not really a fan of SNSD..but not to the point of being an anti-fan). But I still can't believe SNSD beat Alex, SHINee & V.O.S!!

The last one has got to be my favourite performance. A special stage of SHINee and Seo In Young!!! Totally in love with this performance. They sang 'Noona, You're So Pretty' & 'Cinderella Under My Umbrella' with a bit of improvisation (they added a bit of Seo In Young's song 'Cinderella'). Seo In Young's English was kinda good (who won't when you got a 'hubby' like Crown J..lol).

A Morning with Shinhwa~

What's Up Peeps!~~

I'm SO in a good mood today coz takde klas..lol..but suprisingly I woke up at 9am. I'll usually wake up at 11 when there's no class. So, I started my day with my usual routines, I went to the toilet, brushed my teeth, washed my face, checked my e-mails, looked for the recent news of Korean entertainment, went into DBSK and Shinhwa's fanclub forum (I'm their fangirl..huhu) and then suddenly...

BUZZ!!

Meng buzzed me. She wanted to 'lepak' at my house..lol.. So, I told her to come so that we can watch my ERIC together..lol.. We both crashed on my bed and watched Heroine 6 Shinhwa Special (Shinhwa is Eric's singing group..they've been around for ten years and has released 9 albums!). Then, Syaz woke up and joined us. We really had fun laughing, screaming and jumping on the bed (the bed's here are really strong I guess..lol) while eating some apples, bananas & dried cranberries (thanks Meng for bringing the dried cranberries! Lain kali bwk lg ek? lol..). The show was so much fun. Can't imagine and idol group can be that crazy. I won't comment on the show coz if I do, I won't be finished typing until tomorrow..hehe.. After the show, Meng went back coz she had an appointment at 2pm. I'm gonna make myself some food now. Hungry la~ Gonna cook something light though coz tonight we're gonna order some delivery from Charcoal Grill (Kebabs!! Yummmmmm...~) Hmmm.. I just heard Zu Lee's voice. When did she come anyway? LOL.. Gotta see her....

Grammar, Photo & Food...

Hey Ya!~

Just got back from 'Language Awareness' class....phew~

Sounds cool huh?..but we were actually learning 'Grammar!!' Yeah, the big 'G' in learning English..haih~ It seems that the more I learn it, the more I realise that there are still so many things that I don't know..and the more confused I'll get. To make things worst, there'll be an exam next Tuesday..Darn!~ Thank God that I was still on-task throughout the first 1 1/2 hours of the class. At least I still had a lot of info to be crammed in this 'already-crammed' head of mine...but after that, I went completely off-task! Don't blame me... learning grammar for 2 hours straight with this stomachache that I have (I hate period pain! You're not supposed to come until the 25th..Aaaarrggghhh!!!)..Can you imagine that?

Ramadhan is coming and all of us are excited to spent our first Ramadhan abroad..lol.. But one thing came to mind.. When are we going to take our 'Salam Perantauan' picture?!! hahaha... This question has been raised by a few of us to our 'ketua' (representative) but he's still not sure when we're going to do it. Errgh..Fayadh!! Make up your mind for goodness sake!!!!

My housemates and I are worried that it will be too late by the time we take the photo (that is IF we are even going to have a whole batch photo~) So, we decided to take our house photo. Then, after class, together with our vacation buddy a.k.a. my sister, Zu Lee...we snapped a few (tonnes actually..lol) photos for 'Salam Perantauan'. It's 6.30pm now and all I had since morning were 2 bananas (couldn't believe that myself *rotf*). I'm gonna make some food for myself now. Awww... poor tummy~ Still don't know what to eat but I'm gonna search through the fridge and cabinets in the kitchen for some food.

Kibum Oppa, Saengil Chuka Hamnida!!

I decided to post this all of a sudden..lol.. Yup, today is Super Junior's Kim Kibum's birthday. For those who don't know, Super Junior is another Korean group that I adore and Kim Kibum is my favourite member from that group. It happens to be that today is his 21st birthday. So, Happy Birthday, Kibum.

Kim Kibum debuted as a runway model and also appeared in some TV commercials. In 2004, he made his first acting debut in 'April Kiss' (haven't watch that T_T). After that, he was really active in acting. He debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005 being one of the rappers in the group (he's good..& Super Junior is awesome..believe me! They just won an award at the recent MTV Asia Awards..go to Youtube and check out their performances..brilliant!!)

He was raised in Los Angeles, California, US (same as Eric Mun!!! I guess I really do have a soft spot for Koreans who speak good American English..lol..no offence..they sound cool..haha)

If you want to listen to his music with Super Junior, simply search for Super Junior's music on the internet..(I suggest 'Don't Don', 'Marry U' and 'A Man In Love'..they're my favourites..lol)

Alhamdulillah..just had my dinner and it was the best! Wanna know what I had for dinner? Rice (of course!!) with 'Sambal Ikan Keli' and 'Cheese & Onion Ommelette'. Can you believe that? Having sambal ikan keli for dinner right here in UK..lol.. It's a long story actually. Here goes..

A few weeks ago, Nadhia, Syaz & I went to the city for some grocery shopping. As usual we went to the continental shop tu buy halal meat and spices. That day, we went to the conti shop and open the freezer to check out some beef and chicken. To our surprise, there were also many selections of frozen fish. We decided to buy one packet of it even though we didn't know what type of fish it was because of the packaging and the fact that it was 'wrapped' with ice! However, from the picture on the packet, we can see that it's just a normal fish and it looked okay...

So, the fish was kept in our freezer until this evening when Syaz was craving to eat 'nasi' with some 'lauk'. She defrosted the fish and we finally got to see how the fish look like and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were 4 pieces of 'ikan keli' (don't know what they're called in English..lol) inside the packet!! And to make it worst... They're not yet cut & cleaned!! I was like..

"WTH!!! Sesungut melekat lagi beb.. geli siot!!!"

I tried to lift the package from the sink and then I saw the 'sesungut' (antenna) moving.... (as in moving in the water from the defrosted ice.. the fish are already DEAD, believe me). I was so damn shocked, disgusted & 'geli' at the same time that I jumped, threw back the packet into the sink and screamed while running out of the kitchen!! *rotfl* I even hit some plates on the rack beside the sink!! Luckily they did not fall..lol!

All of my housemates couldn't even look at the fish and we all screamed and laughed at the same time...then we realised that we actually had one problem. Who's going to clean the fish?? Suddenly, Nadhia said,

"Call mane2 umah bdk laki mintak tolong." LOL!!

Yup, we decided to call the boys' house and ask for their help. Syaz called Basir's house and he said that he'll come. Yay!!!! So, Basir & Ariff came to our house to help clean the fish. It was so disgusting especially when Ariff pulled out all the 'isi perut' from the fish's stomach (that's what Syaz said coz I was already in my room at that time, avoiding to look at those fish being cut. I knew I would throw up..lol) It was kinda embarassing actually having the boys laugh at our reaction after looking at the 'ikan keli'..lmao.

After the boys went back, Syaz & Fiza, being our chef for today, cooked the fish and made an ommelette. They turned out to be one of the most delicious meals we ever had here in Plymouth. So, thanks to Basir and Ariff for helping us with cleaning and cutting the fish (we gave them some of the cooked 'ikan keli')and thank you to Syaz and Fiza for cooking those mouth-watering dishes! You guys are the best!!!

School-years Obsession!!

Hey peeps!!!

Just woke up this morning & I immediately got a buzz from my friend in Malaysia. One of my closest friend in school, Qurratu Aini bt Ramli a.k.a. Q! She's the person whom I chat with the most. She's now in Unisel, also doing TESL. Miss you soooo much Q.

Q buzzed me coz she wanted to 'luahkan perasaan' (Q, 2008) lol... about her fellow crew members. They're doing a play this semester and she's the director but her props team go and 'buat hal' and take things to their own hand. So, Q was telling me how pissed she is right now and how she yelled at the props team coz they went over-budget..yada yada yada... you don't wanna know..LOL!!!

But being the normal us, whenever we talked, we will still end up talking about Korean artists (she's K-pop fan too..especially Gong Yoo - the one acted in Coffee Prince... LOL)... Then, she kept on talking about Gong Yoo & I kept on bragging about Eric Mun and suddenly this reminded me of our school days... of how we were so very much in love with F4 (they're Taiwanese btw, not Korean). All because of Meteor Garden, the drama that was so popular in Malaysia in 2004. So, the conversation about them starts.......

Picture Perfect

2nd post of the day..

LOL.. don't laugh at me but on the launching day of a brand new blog, one can be a bit too excited and will want to write as many post as possible..haha.. So, this is my second post today..

I've been wanting to put a banner on top of my blog and after watching Nadhia helping Syaz (Baby) with her blog, I was motivated to have one on my blog too. So, I spent nearly 3 hours searching through the picture folders in my laptop besides searching on the net for a perfect picture to put as a banner on my blog. Believe me, I've been putting up tonnes of pictures and keep on asking for Baby's opinion each time I changed the picture..poor my Baby, jadi mangsa.. huhu..

After finding the right picture, I spent a few more minutes editing it and VOILA!! There you go.. the final result is right above there. I guess the picture explains it all. It's a picture of my favourite vocal group, Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK). It's a Korean group and yes..they are the men in my life. Great vocals, powerful dance moves, good looks, talented musicians (they can compose beautiful songs & play various kinds of musical instruments) & the most important thing is...they're intelligent (they're not like some other artists who dropped out of schools; they're universty students & all of them can speak many languages). That's why I adore them. Maybe you should try listening to their songs. They're brilliant!! I think I'll write a different post about them next time coz if not, this post will never end..LOL!!

As you can see, I'm a fan of K-pop.. (that's Korean popular music). Well, I'm not just into their music, I also watch their dramas, movies and tv programmes everyday...so you can say that I am a fan of Korean entertainment. I suggest all of you to be prepared to read more about Korean artists as I'm sure that I'll keep mentioning them in my posts as they are a part of my everyday life.. whoaaa!! LOL....

Before I end my post, I'll make you guys faint (as if) by putting the picture of a Korean artist that I'm currently in love with..haha.. Here he is:

Hello everyone!!!

Okay, first and foremost.....let me clarify things here...
I really don't now how I landed here but it all started with me reading my friends blogs, one after another and in the end I happened to be in here, creating my own account and and now I'm actually writing my first post... woooooo!!! I guess this is the result of sitting in front of your laptop 24/7.. haha..

So, this will be my second attempt of writing a blog. The first one was abandoned more than a year ago (aawww... poor baby T_T haha...) because i got kinda lazy to update it. Don't blame me!!! Who won't be lazy to update their blogs when you have a lousy internet connection that makes you curse whenever it got disconnected?? Oooooowwww..that's bad.....That was the case in my dorm back in Malaysia.

I'm in Plymouth, UK at the moment, doing my degree in TESL (that's 'Teaching English as a Second Language' for those of you who have no idea what it is..huhu). I'm living in the Student Village here with my three housemates and the internet connection here is 'SUPERB'! The speed is amazing and it's free! I can even surf the net while lying on my bed..haha..believe me. Now that explains the extra kilos that I'm carrying around at the moment..lol.... I guess this will keep me rooted to my bed and stuck to my laptop. So, I can guarantee you guys that I'm gonna keep on updating this blog.
